I scream, you scream, we ALL scream for ice cream, and it’s easy to see why! Ice cream is the best solo dessert on a hot summer day and can also be paired with a cobbler, pie or cake.

You probably think making ice cream at home is just too time consuming. WRONG! These days you don’t need a huge contraption to make the creamy and delicious treat. This sweet treat is rich, creamy, loaded with vanilla flavor, and ridiculously easy to make.

The ice cream recipe we are featuring is a no-churn one which means there’s no need for an ice cream machine to make the creamy treat. Another extra is that all it takes is just 3 ingredients folded into one another to make the ice cream base.

The homemade ice cream ingredients needed for this recipe are simple:


  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups heavy cream


  • Line a 9×5 loaf pan with parchment paper. Place in the freezer.
  • Combine sweetened condensed milk and vanilla in a large chilled bowl.
  • In a separate chilled bowl, whip heavy cream on medium high until stiff peaks form.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the sweetened condensed milk. (Stir in any mix-ins you’d like at this point like chopped peaches, strawberries, chocolate chips, Nutella swirls, even edible cookie dough).
  • Pour into prepared pan, cover with plastic wrap and freeze at least 4 hours or overnight.

This style of ice cream will melt a little faster than the custard based one, but that’s OK, you’ll enjoy licking it up!
