OPEN HEART
What is this connection
that my soul feels
when I look
into your eyes
Could it be a past life recall
for I know our paths
must have crossed
many lifetimes before
My heart has opened
Like a flower in spring
full of sunlight and joy
yet I am frightened
that once more this love
perhaps is not to be
Yet, it has brought me love
and understanding of self
and the Divine within me
a gift I will always treasure
And so I thank you for
unlocking my heart
for now I can love again
to whomever awaits me
