AM I MY BROTHER’S KEEPER
AM I MY BROTHER’S KEEPER
Was the question asked of me
I searched deep down inside my heart
So truth would set me free
When my Brother’s heart is breaking
Would I simply turn my head
Or would I try to comfort him
And pray for him instead
If he needed conversation
Would I silence my cell phone
If I heard him knocking on my door
Would I pretend that I’m not home
If my Brother’s pockets were empty
And his bank account was low
If he asked if I could help him
Would I shrug and tell him no
If my Brother needed shelter
To escape from all his gloom
Would I tell him that I’m sorry
That I don’t have any room
I’ve been blessed to be a blessing
When life’s a bitter cup
I will be there for my brother
To make sure he won’t give up
I AM MY BROTHER’S KEEPER
Through his trials and adversities
He can count on me his Brother
Cause he’d do the same for me
