The Dump
They brought their
shovels and buckets
to the polls
hoping to fertilize their dreams
of a great amerikkka…
He was gonna drain the
already murky swamp.
But he just backed the Trump
truck up
and dumped out the
remains of the stank billionaire
septic tank
back on them…
And us.
Now trolls
lurk behind
bogus websites
spittin’ fake news…
We all paying dues
and singing the “I told you so”
and “I didn’t know”
blues
His crews of Robins
ain’t givin’ back to the hood.
They just wearin’ ‘em
thinkin’ they gonna ride off unseen
into some privileged sunset.
Naw, but not just yet….
The manure is bubblin’ and boilin’
while the rest of us are toilin’….
That golden toilet seat’s about to glow real hot.
Keep on tweetin’ to distract what’s already fact.
But ain’t nobody going for the okey doke.
Your ass is on the spot.
It’s about the inquiry.
And they’re lookin’ deep into that closet
where all of those cheap suits
made in China and Russia
distort the vision.
Pile up all of that malarkey
so we turn our heads away
‘There’s no collusion.”
Just your ties to the oligarchy.
Kick it to the coal miners
diggin’ deep for your benefactors…
While they wheeze
“I can’t pay my bills…
I need affordable care…
not that
Obamacare…please!”
Throw a roll of paper towels
to the masses
for us to wipe our asses…
We goin’ up in wildfire smoke
as our livelihoods
are flooded.
We over here workin’ to
keep a roof over our heads
when storms and mudslides
are blowin’ ’em off
and you down in Florida playin’ golf
Tax breaks for
cronies and corporate raiders
stockpilin’ the goodies
Like toddlers at the kiddie park.
Yeah, they gonna trickle it down alright.
Pissin’ dollar signs in the snow
while we waitin’
for our melting bank accounts to grow.
You see, they brought their
shovels and buckets
to the polls
hoping to fertilize their dreams
of a great amerikkka…
He was gonna drain the
already murky swamp.
But he just backed the Trump
truck up
and dumped out the
remains of the stank billionaire
septic tank
back on them…
And us.
It’s time for some…
justice.

Poetry allows me to express my feelings with jazz beats going on behind my words.”
