For those of you who do not know what a mule is, well, it’s a shoe that combines the look of a pump with either a high, low or flat heel with an open or closed front. It is also a slipper of sorts with an open back. It has made appearances throughout the centuries and is now, again, a must-have fashion accessory even though a former Paris Vogue editor branded the shoe a “categorical fashion faux pas.”
